The ENEC mark is a general European safety certification mark, which is adopted by European manufacturers on the basis of testing based on harmonized European safety standards.

At the 98CCA meeting held in Yugoslavia in March 2000, it was unanimously approved that the "ENEC" mark, which was originally only allowed to be adopted by European manufacturers, began to be open to all manufacturers in the world. Initially the certification was only for IT (information) equipment (EN60950), but now the scope of the "ENEC" mark includes:

● Information equipment (EN60950)

● Transformer (EN60742, EN61558)

● Lighting (EN60598) and related documents (EN60920, EN60440)

● Electrical switch (EN61058)

Description of "European Standard Electrical Approval"-The number that appears on the right side of the ENEC logo is to identify different member states of CCA (Note: different numbers represent different member states/certification bodies, for example, 10 represents VDE). Now there are 21 member states and 23 certification bodies. If the manufacturer wishes, the certification body's logo can also be added. ENEC proves to consumers and relevant authorities that the product is certified by a highly credible third-party certification body. In short, the logo requires:

● It has been tested and certified by the certification bodies of ENEC member states. Such as: Nemko, Semko, etc.

● The manufacturer’s product management must comply with ISO9002, or an equivalent standard

● According to the reconciliation inspection procedure, the initial and minimum annual output will be inspected by the issuing agency

● Selectively retest the certified products every other year
