A few days ago, the 10th China Flower Expo with the theme of "Flowers blooming Chinese dreams" kicked off in Chongming, Shanghai. The "CIMC Garden" exhibition area, which was jointly designed and constructed by the Intelligent Environment Team of Tongji University, made its debut at the Flower Expo, and became a beautiful scenery in the flower expo. The exhibition area is based on the theme of "Dream Pen Growing Flowers" and uses artificial intelligence technology. , Combined with light, heat, water, fertilizer, and gas control systems to create an environment suitable for plant growth and achieve soilless planting.

  The exhibition area takes the form of containers as a carrier, and is divided into photovoltaic solar cabins, wind power generation cabins, modular light food cabins, vegetable planting cabins and other cabins. Among them, the vegetable planting cabin is a highly intelligent container plant planting system researched and developed by the intelligent environment team of Tongji University. The system includes a container body, a cultivation system, an air conditioning system, and an intelligent control system. The cultivation system adopts advanced nutrient-liquid cultivation racks, plant LED growth lights and automatic water and fertilizer integrated irrigation system to ensure that plants can grow well in a controlled environment. The planting cabin adopts an advanced fresh air air conditioning system to reduce space occupation in the form of an all-in-one modularization, and combines heating, cooling, dehumidification and humidification functions to optimize the system configuration and reduce operating energy consumption. In addition, the intelligent environment team of Tongji University has also developed an intelligent overall monitoring system for the container plant planting system, which realizes the centralized and efficient coordinated regulation of plant growth environment, nutrient solution configuration and supply, and air-conditioning unit operation. The data is uploaded to the cloud platform, so that the container plant planting system can be remotely monitored and system setting operations can be performed through the mobile terminal.

According to experts from Tongji University, the containerized plant factory has become a part of modern facility agriculture and is one of the development directions of facility agriculture in the future. Its advantages of integration, intelligence and modularity have not only greatly increased the yield of crops, but can also overcome The influence of outdoor climate, so as to achieve year-round planting. In addition, the use of renewable energy can reduce the energy consumption of the system, and provide new ideas and new ways of planting crops that are more energy-efficient and environmentally friendly for future agricultural development.

The intelligent environment team of Tongji University not only conducted multi-disciplinary research on acoustic environment, light environment, thermal environment, landscape environment and water environment, but also cooperated with Tongji University in the “CIMC Garden” pavilion of this flower expo. The teams from the Rural Development Research Institute and the Environmental Branch of the Architectural Design and Research Institute of Tongji University have carried out technical cooperation in agriculture and garden design.
