In the evening of yesterday (23), Infinite issued an announcement disclosing a quarterly report. Affected by the COVID-19, both revenue and net profit declined.

In 1Q20, Infineon achieved revenue of 170 million yuan, a year-on-year decrease of 22.35%; net profit attributable to shareholders of listed companies was 16.3217 million yuan, a year-on-year decrease of 6.87%.

Infineon said that due to the domestic and international new coronary pneumonia epidemic, the company's normal production recovery and shipments were affected to a certain extent, which led to a decline in the company's first quarter operating income and profits. At present, the company's production and operation has gradually returned to normal. In the follow-up, on the premise of good epidemic prevention and control, it will take a number of measures to win and integrate resources, and actively expand the market to ensure that the production and operation work is carried out as orderly as possible.

In the overseas market, in addition to further deepening the North American and European markets, Infineon is actively expanding in emerging markets such as Africa, the Middle East, Southeast Asia, and Brazil to increase the penetration of emerging markets. At the same time, accelerate the construction of the Mexican subsidiary and continue to increase the capacity of the Indian subsidiary after the epidemic has eased to take advantage of the company's existing technology, platform, market, capital, brand, etc. The challenges brought about by the achievement of performance further enhance the company's global operation capabilities and the production capacity layout (backup production capacity) in multiple regions of the world.

It is understood that in 2019, Infineon actively expands overseas markets and LED market segments, including the introduction of power supply products for emerging applications such as sports lighting, plant lighting, explosion-proof lighting, fire protection lighting, fishery lighting, security monitoring, UV LED, etc. To achieve double growth in revenue and net profit. Among them, total revenue was approximately 1.009 billion yuan, a slight increase of 4.50% year-on-year; the net profit attributable to shareholders of listed optoelectronics was 106 million yuan, an increase of 51.04% year-on-year.
